Eukaryotic serine/threonine as well as tyrosine protein kinases belong to a very extensive family of proteins which share a conserved catalytic domain [1].
Sal k 2 from Russian thistle (Salsola kali) pollen contains a protein kinase domain. Its allergenic significance is unknown.
Family-defining Pfam domains (at least one of these domains is present in each family member):
Pfam domain | Pfam clan | ||
PF00069 | Protein kinase domain | CL0016 | Protein kinase superfamily |
