Clinical Clerkship
Students from Vienna and the surrounding area (MedUni Wien, SFU, KLU) can only register for clerkships in person during the official consultation hours.
Students from other universities can apply for a clerkship via email. Please include your confirmation of enrollment (aka proof of enrollment or entrollment certificate).
Please note that foreign students can only be accepted through official EU exchange programs (in particular ERASMUS+ SMT). The minimum duration for an ERASMUS stay is 2 months. You can stay in one department for a maximum of 6 weeks and then have to move on to another department.
Applications for clerkships that last less than 2 months will also be accepted. However, you then would have to arrange another clerkship at any other department.

An example: Your first clerkship here in Vienna starts on 3 April. Therefore, the last clerkship cannot end before 2 June.
Deadlines for registering for ERASMUS stays:
6 weeks before the start of the stay but
no later than 15 February for stays that start between 1 April and 31 July and
no later than 15 September for stays beginning between 1 November and 31 January.

Every student requires a fully completed immunization record. This must be submitted one month before the start of the clerkship.
Termine
Clerkships at the ENT department are possible without exception in exactly the specified periods. During the summer holidays (July to September) we only offer 4-week clerkships.
All rules also apply to students from abroad. Therefore, please refrain from making inquiries regarding different periods.

Please note that re-dating the clerkship confirmation is a violation of existing laws and is therefore not possible. In addition, clerkships (see above) only begin on the specified days and, unless otherwise stated, last two, four or six weeks. This regulation applies to all students without exception.
